Great little greasy spoon. Get the garbage omelette it's got everything but the kitchen sink!
Inexpensive and tasty breakfast menu items served hot and with a warm smile.
Hidden gem. Not much to look at but the food and service were fantastic. We had a bacon cheeseburger and a hot beef sandwich and both were fantastic, unbelievably fresh and high quality! Would stop in here again anytime!
Great Breakfast experience 1st time.
One of the best small diners I have been to in a long time. Great food, prices and service.
Great breakfast.
Ordered their special of a Chicken Pot Pie... When I ordered this I thought I was ordering a fresh pie. What I got was a Banquet pie. The waitress never came to the table to ask how our meals were. My pot pie was dry and gross. If she had come back to the table before bringing our bill to us, I would have ordered something different.
Phillip's Dinner is one of the best places to eat in Ogdensburg I used to go there almost every day with my grandpa and some times my cousins I cry almost every day thinking about NY I had to move but each time I'm in Ogdensburg I always go they have the best foodI recommend the ham. And cheese omelet, pancakes
Great chocolate shakes
It's an old style family diner. It has great staff and a friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced.
Very satisfied . Our waitress was outstanding. Very pleasant.
Last time i went there i realised that portions are somehow bigger for locals then they are for "tourists".. Shame. 🤔
Classic diner, checked all the boxes. Old decor and feel is really comfortable. GREAT, inexpensive food.
Top service! Have always enjoyed going there. A good place to relax and enjoy a meal.
A great classic American diner. Good food, good service, and unbeatable prices. A must if you are in the area
Very nice! First time out to eat with grandkids
Always love the food and atmosphere
Good food
Always greast food and friendly service. Building could use some repair and cleaning.
Great service as well as the meal
Good prices.. Good staff.. But the Food is nothing to write home about
This is one of my favorite local diners to go to. I bring everyone I know to try their food. It’s a run down building but the food is amazing and so is the staff. 10/10 recommend!
Ordered the fish and chips... Got the hole haddock... Yup 2 enormous peises of fried fish. Great historic place to eat.
Good place to eat. Wide variety and food is good. Prices very reasonable.
We were out of towners looking for lunch. Couldn't find anything else so tried Phillip's. This was probably a nice place fifty years ago. The building was old, old, old. Our burgers and fries were good but the ground in years of dirt and wear on the floors was very unappetizing. The locals probably like the memories and hot food, but was a last resort eatery for us.
A great hometown diner that has been in Ogdensburg for 70 yrs. The servers and service is great with the menu being what you would expect; burgers, fries, sandwiches and breakfast served all day. Very moderately priced and good food.
Crowded, noisy, food is marginal. Not as good as one would expect.
We love going to this diner!. Its fast service, food is great and the waitresses are always friendly..
A no frills comfort food spot. Daily special was Mac & Cheese and pink lemonade. You know it must be good when the local police are customers.
Food is good but the wait at noon was very long " I thought they forgot us " overall a good place to eat with friends and family.
Awesome Food. Awesome Service, Even When It's Packed! And It Usually Is! Whoa GOOD Food
Good ole fashioned breakfast, but the side of hash was so tasty!!
The food here is excellent. Staff are always friendly. Portions are perfect.....if you're feeding a family of 32. Hahaha. Love it!!
Wow. Had been in business for 60 years. Home cooking in Upstate NY. Portions were over the top. I struggled to eat all my lunch. Again enjoyed a meal with my Son. Had the opportunity to take him for one of his VA appointments. Roads were in good shape all the way. The view out over the Bay was wonderful at the Diner.
They served a lot of food for a little bit of money. They also brought out ketchup to our car. Nice people and supported a small business/restaurant
Nice place to eat, we like to stop when we come to visit family.
Great food great people and good service
Good food. Fast and friendly service
best pancakes!!!! i loved the service
Usually very good and fast, but today we waited more than 45 mins for our 2 sandwiches. And 2 people that got there after us got served first
Old time diner, established years ago. Hasn't forgot its roots or its purpose - which is to serve good food in a timely manner at a reasonable price. For which they do a stellar job, although at times when they are busy the service is naturally slower. As some sniveler's have pointed out, the floor is worn - but that is from years of hungry people being served. And the last I knew most people do not dump the food from their plate onto the floor to eat. If they do that would surely be an unappetising performance. And don't forget it is a DINER, not a $50 a plate ristaurante with champagne and caviar. That kind of food service is for those kind of people who wish to be there. I can afford that kind of place but personally will always choose a diner if there is one.So if you want good home cooking and don't eat off the floor, and don't need a concierge to wait on you - then give Phil's a try. Real food, real people and real service
The best restaurant I could think of in ogdensburg people of friendly the food is great and you get a lot of it That's better going to Phillips diner than it is to McDonald's or Burger King it's much cheaper that's why
Fast friendly service clean surroundings great food and fair prices.
Food is great! Service is good, prices are decent. Home cooked meals! I eat here often!!
Good home cooked breakfast Sausage Gravy over Homemade Biscuits yum!!
GOOD FOOD, GREAT PRICES, FRIENDLY STAFF, GOOD SERVICE
In the early 60s I recall coming to Philip's with my mother and grandmother and often had their chili. I was surprised 60 years later that the family still runs the diner ( and well too). I had their chili and it was the same recipe, very good as I had it to go. That evening I had their Hamburger Steak and Fries and these too were delicious.Great memories and food, best of all things.
Awesome food friendly service. A bit busy but definitely worth the wait. Reasonable prices. I can see why it's a local favorite.
Nice place to eat very friendly good atmosphere. Hope to eat there again.
